Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, apps, emails, and services provided by Longevity Signals, the consumer brand of Biomedical Intelligence Institute (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, starting a trial, or using any part of the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Education only. The Services provide educational information about longevity research and media. They are not medical advice and are not a substitute for professional care. Always consult a qualified clinician about personal health decisions.

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old (or the age required by your country) to use the Services.
  • If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” also means that organization.

Accounts and security

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

  • Plans. The Services may be offered via paid subscriptions (e.g., monthly/annual) and optional add-ons.
  • Trials. If a free trial is offered, it lasts for the stated period. At trial end, your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before renewal.
  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew until canceled. You can cancel at any time via your account or app store settings; access continues through the paid term.
  • Pricing changes. We may change prices with prior notice and the option to cancel before the change takes effect.
  • Refunds. Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. For purchases made through Apple/Google, their store terms and refund processes apply.
  • Right of withdrawal (EEA/UK). For digital content, you may lose the statutory withdrawal right once access begins with your consent. Where applicable law provides a withdrawal right, we will honor it accordingly.

Educational nature; no individualized advice

  • The Services summarize and label research, trials, policy, and media. We do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe.
  • Do not disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of content you read in the Services.

“Ask” feature and content interpretation

  • “Ask” provides short, cited answers drawn only from sources we reference. It is for educational use and may refuse questions that seek medical advice or unsafe actions.
  • Prompts you submit may be processed to deliver responses, improve safety, and prevent abuse. Do not include personal health or other sensitive information.

Explain PDFs and uploads

  • If you upload files to obtain explanations, you represent you have rights to those files. Do not upload copyrighted or confidential materials without permission.
  • We may process uploaded files to provide explanations and improve quality, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

  • Do not reverse engineer, scrape, or bulk-download the Services or underlying datasets.
  • Do not bypass access controls, rate limits, or security measures.
  • Do not use the Services to create misleading, unsafe, or unlawful content, or to provide medical advice.
  • Do not use the Services to train models or build competing datasets or rankings without our written permission.

Intellectual property

  • The Services, including rankings, labels, badges, methodologies, text, graphics, and trademarks, are owned by Biomedical Intelligence Institute or its licensors and are protected by law.
  • We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial, educational purposes during your active subscription or trial.
  • All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Your content and feedback

  • You retain rights to content you submit (e.g., prompts, comments, uploaded files). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use that content to provide and improve the Services.
  • If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without restriction or obligation.

Third-party services and links

  • The Services link to third-party sites and sources. We are not responsible for their content or practices. Review their terms and privacy policies.
  • Payments handled by Apple, Google, Stripe, or other processors are subject to their terms.

Beta features

  • We may offer experimental or beta features that may change, break, or be withdrawn. You accept these “as is.”

Service changes and availability

  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with notice where practicable.
  • We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Privacy

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and process personal data.

Disclaimers

  • The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • We do not warrant that rankings, labels, summaries, or sources are error-free, complete, or suitable for your purposes.

Limitation of liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Biomedical Intelligence Institute and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Services.
  • Our total liability for any claims relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to us for access to the Services in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g., for fraud or willful misconduct).

Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold harmless Biomedical Intelligence Institute and its affiliates from any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Termination

  • You may stop using the Services at any time and cancel your subscription as described above.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, harm other users, or create security risks. Where reasonable, we will provide notice.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases. Provisions that by their nature survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitations, indemnities, payment obligations) will continue to apply.

Governing law and venue

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania, without regard to conflict of law rules.
  • Courts located in Lithuania will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any non-waivable consumer protection rights you have in your country of residence.

Export and sanctions

You may not use the Services if you are subject to EU, UK, or US sanctions or if such use would violate applicable export or sanctions laws.

App stores

If you downloaded the app from Apple or Google, you acknowledge that those companies are not responsible for support, maintenance, or any claims related to the app, and that your use is also subject to their terms.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content infringes your rights, contact office@longevitysignals.com with sufficient detail to locate and assess the material. We may remove content in our discretion.

Changes to these Terms

  • We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Services or legal requirements. We will post the new version with the effective date and, for material changes, provide notice by email or in-app.
  • Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
  • Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our rights.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.
  • Headings. Headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
